Due to the fact that our Prowise Touchscreens seem to have an issue with Miracast we would like to offer a workaround.
Workaround with Chrome
- Be sure that on the PWT ChromeCast casting is enabled. Click on the menu to get it collapsed and click on Screencasting and check if the slider is enabled
- Start a Chrome-browser on the device you want to cast from
- Click on the 3 vertical dots on the left upper side of the browser-windows
- Click on Casting
- First select the source. You can choose to only cast one tab of the browser or you can select to cast an entire screen.
- After that you can select the screen to cast too, in our case "PWTMiraCast"
From 6 on the screen is casted to the Prowise Touchscreen.
Workaround with Edge
- Be sure that on the Prowise Touchscreen ChromeCast casting is enabled. Click on the menu to get it collapsed and click on Screencasting and check if the slider is enabled.
- Start an Edge-browser on the device you want to cast from.
- Click on the 3 vertical dots on the left upper side of the browser-windows
- Click on More Tools → Cast media to Device
- First select the source. You can choose to only cast one tab of the browser or you can select to cast an entire screen.
- After that you can select the screen to cast too, in our case "PWTMiraCast"
