Getting Started with Prowise Sign-In

Prowise Sign-In is the gateway to all Prowise software that requires authentication. It ensures secure access to applications while integrating various sign-in methods to support different user needs. This guide provides an overview of how the sign-in process works and what to expect when accessing Prowise applications.

What is Prowise Sign-In?

Prowise Sign-In (SSO) is a centralized authentication system that allows users to access multiple Prowise applications with a single login. It operates on login.prowise.com, a separate domain dedicated to authentication.

Applications Using Prowise Sign-In

You will use Prowise Sign-In when accessing:

  • Prowise Cloud applications: Presenter (web), GO, Screen Control, Learn.

  • Native applications: Prowise Central, Presenter, Teach.

  • Account management portals:

    • Account Portal: Manage personal account settings.

    • Admin Portal: Manage organization-wide account settings.

The First Screen You See

When accessing Prowise Sign-In, the first screen depends on various factors:

  • Account Memory: If a previous session exists, a shortcut to the last-used sign-in method is shown.

  • Picture Login: If using a school-managed network, the picture login screen may appear (for younger users).

  • Region Login: If accessing from a region with specific institution login options, those will be displayed.

  • Normal Login: The standard sign-in screen with multiple authentication options.

Available Sign-In Methods

Prowise Sign-In supports various authentication methods:

  • Third-party providers: Google, Microsoft, Apple.

  • Institutional logins: SURFconext, VIDIS, Vlaamse Overheid, LeerID.

  • Standard credentials: Email and password.

  • Picture login: For younger users in managed school networks.

  • QR Code login: Sign in via a mobile device for convenience.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

For added security, some accounts may require an additional authentication step:

  • A one-time authentication code from an app.

  • MFA settings may be enforced by an administrator.

  • Users can choose to remember MFA for 10 days on trusted devices.

Signing Out

When signing out, users can:

  • Sign out from Prowise Sign-In while remaining logged in to external providers.

  • Fully sign out from Prowise and third-party authentication providers (Google, Microsoft, etc.).

  • Use Forget My Account to remove remembered login shortcuts.
