We are excited to announce the release of a new version of our Single Sign-On (SSO) solution. The most notable change for end users is the updated look and feel, which aligns with our current branding.
Rest assured, all existing functionalities are still present, and everything works as before. The interface has been updated, but the features and sign-in methods can still be found where they were, ensuring a secure and familiar experience.
Why These Changes?
Our goal is to provide a more streamlined and enjoyable user experience while preparing for future enhancements in our application landscape. This new version lays the foundation for better integration and improved user interaction with our applications. Additionally, we have improved account registration and recovery processes, making them more seamless and integrated into the overall sign-in experience.
Changes and New Features
- Updated Interface: Our SSO solution now has a fresh, modern look that aligns with our current branding. While the appearance has changed, all functionalities remain the same and are located where you expect them to be.
- Enhanced User Experience: We have made several improvements to ensure a more streamlined user experience now and in the future. The account registration and recovery processes are now more pleasant and better integrated into the sign-in experience.
New Features:
- Sign in with Another Device: You can now use a QR code or a code on a separate page to continue your sign-in session on another device. This feature simplifies the sign-in process, especially if you are already signed in on another device.
- Account Memory: Once you've signed in and then signed out, or if your session expires, the device will temporarily remember your sign-in method. This allows you to quickly return to your preferred sign-in method.
Future Functionalities
We are continually working to enhance our SSO solution. Here are some of the upcoming features:
- Comprehensive Controls for Organizations: We are developing more comprehensive controls for organizations to dictate the sign-in process, providing greater flexibility and security.
- Additional Identity Providers: We expect to soon support "LeerID" and "Vlaamse Overheid" for our Flemish customers, expanding our connectivity with external Identity Providers.
