Why have internet images been replaced by AI images?

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that it is inconvenient to no longer be able to add images from the internet to Presenter in the old way.

We would like to briefly explain why we had to make this change:

Microsoft has decided to discontinue the Bing search service as of 11 August 2025, a decision over which we unfortunately have no influence.

Instead of searching the internet (Bing), you will now find images generated based on the most commonly used search terms in Presenter. We believe it is important that teachers always pay attention to the use and potential dangers of AI in general.
To avoid confusion, we have marked AI images with an asterisk.

We have chosen not to link Presenter to another search engine, as this would entail additional costs. This allows us to continue offering Presenter free of charge.

If you prefer not to use this feature, that is of course entirely up to you. You can still easily use “your own images” or “images from the internet” by uploading them manually or simply adding them to Presenter via drag & drop.

The videos below explain how this works:

  • Video 2 - Add image - Presenter web (Chrome), WINDOWS environment
