How to Open a Secret

Accessing a Shared Secret

If you have received a Safe Share link, follow these steps to securely open the secret.

Opening a Secret

1. Click the Safe Share link that was sent to you.

2. Confirm before opening:

   • You will see a confirmation message stating that the secret will be deleted immediately after viewing.

   • Click ‘Open secret’ to proceed.

3. View the secret:

   • If it is text, the content will be displayed on-screen.

   • If it is a file, you will see a download option.

4. Save the secret immediately:

   • Once you close, refresh, or navigate away from the page, the secret is permanently deleted.

   • Ensure you store the information securely before leaving the page.

Important Considerations

• One-time access only – After opening, the secret cannot be retrieved again.

• Do not share the link – Only the intended recipient can open the secret.

• Check the sender – Ensure the link comes from a trusted Prowise contact before opening.

• For files, download them immediately – Files are not recoverable once the page is closed.

If you encounter any issues opening the secret, contact the sender for a new one.
