A factory reset brings the touchscreen back to its original state. This is useful when solving issues or preparing the device for a new user or location.
When to use a factory reset
Use it to:
- Fix performance problems
- Remove all data before handing the device over
Important: This will delete all personal files, apps, and settings. Back up your data first!
Steps
- Open the Windows Start Menu on your touchscreen.
- Go to Settings → System → Recovery.
- Under Reset this PC, select Reset PC.
- Choose Remove everything to fully restore the device.
- Follow the on-screen steps.
- The screen will restart and automatically reinstall Windows.
After the reset, you’ll go through the Windows and Prowise Central setup again.
Tip: Keep the screen connected to a stable power source during the reset.
