Getting Started with Your Account

Your Prowise account allows you to access various Prowise applications securely. Whether you're using a free personal account or managing an organisation account, this guide will help you understand the basics of account setup, usage, and limitations.

What is a Prowise Account?

A Prowise account is a centralized identity used to access all Prowise applications. It provides secure authentication, allows integration with external services, and ensures data protection across platforms.

Individual vs. Organisation Accounts

Prowise offers two main types of accounts:

  • Individual Account: Usually a free account with limited features, mainly for personal use.

  • Organisation Account: Managed by an institution or school, providing additional functionalities such as role-based access and administrative controls.

With an individual account, you are the sole owner of your data and technically unaffiliated with any organisation. However, if you register with a work or non-personal email, you may receive invitations to join an organisation. In some cases, administrators may fully integrate your account into an organisation, subject to their policies.

Creating a Prowise Account

To create a personal Prowise account, follow the guide: How to Register a New Account.

Registration requires only an email address initially. You will be prompted to set up a password, name, and other details later. Once you verify your email, you can access your account settings and services.

Managing Your Prowise Account

You can manage your personal account settings at account.prowise.com. Here, you can:

  • Update profile information (name, email, preferred language).

  • Change your password and manage security settings.

  • Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for added security.

  • Link external services like Google Drive or Microsoft for storage integration.

Account Usage and Limitations

Your Prowise account is free, but it must remain active and comply with our Fair Use Policy (FUP). Some features may be restricted or unavailable. If an account remains unused for an extended period, it may be subject to removal.

Access to Prowise Applications

  • A free personal account mainly provides access to Presenter and Teach.

  • Personal account users can subscribe to Learn, but an organisation account is recommended for schools and institutions.

  • Some products, such as GO or Screen Control, require an organisation account and cannot be accessed with a personal account.

When to Consider an Organisation Account

If you are using Prowise as part of a school, business, or institution, you may benefit from an organisation account, which includes:

  • Centralized user management by administrators.

  • Access to additional tools and collaboration features.

  • Enhanced security policies and integration with Single Sign-On (SSO).

To request an organisation account, contact your IT administrator or refer to Getting Started with Organisation Management.
