Touch does not work in the top left corner

There is a known issue in Windows 11 where the touch functionality in the top-left corner of the screen does not work when OneDrive is installed in an Azure environment. Instructions:

  1. Check the issue:
    • Try touching the top-left corner of the screen with your finger and see if the touch functionality responds. If it doesn’t, the problem may be caused by the presence of OneDrive.
  2. Remove OneDrive:
    • **Step 1: Open the Control Panel.
    • **Step 2: Go to **Programs and Features.
    • **Step 3: Find Microsoft OneDrive in the list of installed programs.
    • **Step 4: Select Microsoft OneDrive and click Uninstall.
    • **Step 5: Follow the on-screen instructions to completely remove OneDrive from your system.
  3. Test the touch functionality:
    • Restart your computer after uninstalling OneDrive.
    • Try touching the top-left corner of the screen again to see if the touch functionality now works.
  4. Try this in your office environment:
    • Perform these steps on your office equipment to confirm that the issue is resolved. If the touch functionality in the top-left corner is restored after removing OneDrive, the problem is related to the interaction between OneDrive and the Azure environment.
  5. More information:
    • This issue has also been reported on the Microsoft website. Although no official solution has been provided yet, you can read more about this issue via the following link: Microsoft Discussion. Note: Make sure to back up important files stored in OneDrive before removing the program to avoid data loss.

One more small update regarding the issue: We have discovered that OneDrive hides a small window in the top-left corner of the screen (see attached image). This causes buttons in File Explorer or Paint to not respond to touch or mouse input, but the problem does not occur when using a USB keyboard. It appears that this is an issue with Microsoft OneDrive. We have also found that updating to Windows 11 version 24H2 resolves this issue, but this is still a preview version of the Windows 11 update. This update is not expected to be released until the end of Q3/beginning of Q4.
