When installing a new device/PC module or after a repair of these, Windows 11 needs to be set up. Using the steps below, a local admin account will be created.
- In the first screen, you can choose the language of Windows.
- Select the relevant region.
- Select the correct keyboard layout from the list here. Usually, US (international) is used.
- If no second keyboard layout is used, you can click 'Skip'.
- If there is no active LAN connection, you can connect to a WiFi network here. Select the relevant connection and press 'Connect'.
- Enter the Wi-Fi network password and press 'Next'.
- Press 'Next' to continue.
- Agree to Windows' terms and conditions by clicking 'Agree'.
- Set a name for the PC, you may define this yourself. Then click Next.
- Choose 'Set for work or school' here and then click Next.
- Here, choose 'Login options' and then Next.
- Select 'Join domain'.
- Enter the login name of the account, this too is up to you. Then press Next.
- If you want to set a password, you can do so here. This is not obligatory but recommended. Then click Next.
- Enter the password again and press Next.
- After this, you have to answer three security questions.
- You can choose the following questions.
- Windows will now be set up.
