Why is my iPro Lift System beeping or not working properly?

In this article we explain what to do when your lift is beeping or not working properly.

Lift is not working properly (no beeping)

  1. Check the space around the lift system to see if there are things standing or hanging that can cause resistance.
  2. If the area around the lift is free of obstacles, initialise the lift system.
  3. If the lift is still not working properly after initialising it, please call the Prowise service desk.

The lift beeps 1x (short beep)

This means that the lift has just been initialised. There’s no action needed, the reset was successful.

The lift beeps 1x (long beep)

This means that there’s no signal from the sensor (hall sensor in the lift column).

  1. Check the space around the lift system to see if there are things standing or hanging that can cause resistance.
  2. If the area around the lift is free of obstacles, initialise the lift system.
  3. If the lift is still not working properly after initialising it, please call the Prowise service desk.

The lift beeps 2x

The lift is in an unbalanced position (the columns are not synced).

  1. Check the space around the lift system to see if there are things standing or hanging that can cause resistance.
  2. If the area around the lift is free of obstacles, initialise the lift system.
  3. If the lift is still not working properly after initialising it, please call the Prowise service desk.

The lift beeps 3x

The power supply is overheated, mostly caused by excessive use of the lift system. Make sure to use the lift no longer than max. 2 minutes continuously per 20 minutes.

  1. Wait 40 minutes so the lift can cool off, then try again.
  2. If the problem persists, please call the Prowise service desk.

The lift beeps 4x

One of the columns is not getting power. Please report this to the Prowise service desk

The lift beeps 5x

There’s an overload, which means the lift columns draw too much current.

  1. Check the space around the lift system to see if there are things standing or hanging that can cause resistance.
  2. If the area around the lift is free of obstacles, initialise the lift system.
  3. If the lift is still not working properly after initialising it, please call the Prowise service desk.
