Unexpected right-click trigger when using thin pen tips on the Prowise Touchscreen Ten G3 (SE).

Some TSxG3 (SE) users may experience an issue where the screen unexpectedly performs a right-click when using a stylus with a very thin tip. This behaviour causes a small context menu to appear and can interrupt writing or drawing.

When does this issue occur?

The issue can occur when:

  • An external device or OPS module with Windows or ChromeOS is connected to the TSxG3 (SE) via an HDMI + Touch cable or USB-C.
  • A stylus with a thin tip is used for writing or drawing.

When does the issue not occur?

The right-click issue does not occur when using:

  • Your finger
  • A stylus with a thicker tip, such as the green Prowise pen

Using one of these alternatives prevents the unwanted right-click from being triggered.
Temporary solution
Until a software update is available, we recommend using:

  • Your finger for touch interactions, or
  • The green Prowise pen (or another pen with a thicker conductive tip) for writing/drawing.

These input methods do not cause the right-click issue.

Solution:

This issue has been resolved in Central 7.2, which will be available to everyone this month.
